Zeta Tau Alpha is like most of the sororities on the row. They have a national philanthropy, an extremely close sisterhood, deep rooted traditions, and exciting socials. What sets them apart from the rest? They have a meal plan.
Everyday from Monday-Thursday the Zeta house provides two meals, lunch and dinner, for its members. With an industrial style kitchen and wonderful cooks the food is fresh, healthy, and homemade. Not only is it an opportunity to get away from the school meal plan, but the girls get to eat with each other everyday. It provides a place to catch up on what is going on in each other their lives, ask questions about classes, and sign up for various activities in the lunch line on the bulletin board.
Lunch is served between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; while dinner is served between 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The choices differ on a daily basis and always include a salad bar and desert. They also have catered dinner every third Sunday of the month right before their chapter meeting starts. The meal plan is one more way that ZTA sisterhood can grow closer and more like family.
That sounds like a great way for everyone to be able to see each other during their busy schedules during the week.
This is really awesome. I knew they had a meal plan. Yet, I thought it was like required to have a school one. This is a great way to bond. Do they all rotate cooking or is there hired cooks? I want to know!

This is a GREAT aspect to the Zeta sorority. Finding time to have a complete, balanced meal during the day is difficult for college students. Having this option seems like an amazing way to not only create a deeper “family” connection but also keep you healthy and energized for the day and evenings!
